Podcast Show Notes

Our podcast discussion today between Michael Andrade  and Shane Wolverton of Quantros Health.

Next time your doctor refers you to a surgeon ask them: What is their risk adjusted complications rate?  You may be surprised by the look you get from your doctor.  When you get to the surgeon, ask them the same question.  Quantros helps answer that question and also helps give life to transparency and improving outcomes.

What Quantros Does for the Medical Community:

Assessment of Quality and Efficiency – Compare – cost and quality across various constituents using a variety of data sets.   Evaluating cost and quality of providers for over 30 years.  Quality data used to show clinically adjusted quality and cost of care.  Originally given to provider and now offered to employers to help improve ability for purchasing constituents to make decision on where they should go.

Safety– Understand what providers are doing and how their care is impacting outcomes.

Compliance Reporting to CMS –  Applications that help providers comply with CMS reporting efficiently

What Quantros does for Employers:

  • Convener of information – Make the information available to folks that are compassionate and how to help a consumer that’s going through a challenge. Connecting the consumer to price, quality, and advocacy.
  • Assessment of Quality and Efficiency – Armed with the same information provided to healthcare communities they provide cost and quality across various constituents using a variety of data sets.   They arm TPA’s and transparency providers with this information to help your employees get the best care and to create incentives for employers to direct their folks to these providers.
  • Quality Provider Recruitment – Reward providers that are using appropriate modalities and avoiding adverse events by delivering patients to them. Those providers will be paid in advance for their services.

You’ll hear the concept of a Medical Neighborhood come up and the next podcast is a deeper dive.  Medical Literacy is difficult to convey to the general consumer.   Connecting and the consumer with price and quality information in such a way that allows an individual to understand their options, quality outcomes, in an easily digestible format.
